I signed up with the devil
quite some time ago and have had this love/hate relationship
with them ever since. I was willing to overlook the fact that
the technician was an hr late and the fact that THEY ARE REQUIRED
TO GIVE YOU A 40$ credit when they are and didnt, because
the speed was at least twice as fast as dsl at the time.
Now only a short while ago they've axed the speed in half
(and yet we are paying the same price..the hell?) and cried
about people "Abusing the internet". They said people were
downloading too many large files when before all this shit
they launched all their propaganda about download this and
that at blazing speeds and now complain when people do.
What the hell do they think the internet is for anyway?
Its not my fault freebsd is so many god damn cd's! I suppose
I could have downloaded the floppy install in segments if
I wanted to waste my time and about 1000 floppies' but I could
have done that on Dial up ! What a bunch of ignorant
louts. The internet is
there to be had and have it we shall!
But don't worry, they'll find a way to screw you with that
A week ago, my also damned friend ,who happens to be a usenet
whore, has been having his ip switched at random times confusing
his cable modem and has to cycle the modem every fricken time
(which is there answer to everything) ...I guess since the
panzies don't like people downloading things they've decided
on some interesting tactics.....
Recently, I emailed the head luser at tech support and had
a question about the M.A.C binding to the cable modem and
the dumb bastard sent me instructions on how to hook up a
macintosh computer,.. can you fu**in believe that!
Why am I still on rogers you ask?, because bell has institued
a download cap (what was the pupose of signing up with them
for? To get webpages to load faster? give me a break.) ....and
any other DSL company just isn't available in my area or isn't
compatable with the phone line because of AML (added main
Id sign up with "Look" but would have to strap the dish to
my ass and hang it out the window for it to work and would
be arrested very soon after.
And just within the 1-2 days writing this, it seems im being
routed thru a bunch of extra machines of theirs
causing severe packet loss at biblical proportions, no doubt
because of my download of a rather large service pack recently.....ugh....
Im damn gentlemen..... and just like people in prison, im
going to have to take it with a smile.

Its very true what
you say in regards to lowering speeds and download caps. Its
retarded actually. What these companies are saying is, "We
would like to offer you access to the Internet for $X per
month. However, that is only to access the Internet.
If youre actually going to use the Internet
thats a whole other bunch of charges."
Its sort of like a
bridge that becomes a toll bridge. They build the bridge so
you can get from one side to the other, then they realize,
hey, if youre gonna use this freakin bridge were
gonna charge you.

was after when I conceived the idea for this web site. All
I wanted to know was that I could switch 1 person. Just 1.

I actually have two.
1) My mother had a roger's
pre paid plan for six month. after seven month, we callled
in to cancel the phone. The operator was very interested on
my mother's maiden name for some reason and I had to
explain the difference between the maiden name and her
married name for twenty minute. That wasn't so bad. Month
later, we got a bill from them and at first we though, well,
must be the bills for the seventh month. Another
Month later, we got another bill. So I called Roger's.
First they tell me that I have
not cancelled the phone, and that they have no record
of it. I got upset and I demanded that the phone bills from
the past two month to be credited back to me. They told me
that they could cancel and credit my next bill that was coming
up, but they couldn't give my money back for past two month.
Then of course, I started to argue, and for some strange reason,
they were the one yelling at Me. I just hang up the phone
2) My friend had a Nokia phone
from Rogers. Then for some reason, the phone started to freeze.
Apparently, some phones have glitch. So I got a photocopy
of the original bills, and sent it to be fixed. Apparently
the replacement phone is 30$ a month with 30$ deposit. Which
I don't understand why I had to pay for it since it
was none of my fault that the phone is broken. That was not
the end.... A week later, I got a phone call from Bobby....NOT
to my hose, but to the voice mail of my BROKEN CELL PHONE~!!!
What kind of IDIOT leaves a message on the voice mail of the
cell phone that i sent it to be fixed??? Good thing
that I check my voice mail on a regular basis~!!!! That's
not all.... when I went to the Rogers store to get my phone,
they said that they don't have it. I asked...but i got a message,
but they don't have it. They refuse to listen to my
voice mail. Apparently the guy who left the message wasn't
there that day, so I went back couple of days later. When
I got to talk to the lad, he said: " Oh, I'm sorry, I called
the wrong number." And he didn't even bother to call
me back saying he got the wrong number. By the way, he's name
is Bobby who works at the Rogers store on St-catherine in

does not limit their policy of employing idiots to only our
province. They have idiots working for them all over the country.
Rosa, I hope this can all
end with you, your friend and your mother (by the way, what
is her maiden name? just kidding) switching to a new service
provider. If you havent yet, and believe me there are
many alternatives, click on the link to find one in your area.

You don't know how much I
HATE rogers all they do
people off and make excuses.
I am always looking for an alternative but they are all expensive.
Star Choice should make it easier for people to switch. Very
few people have only one T.V. and it cost so much for the
second receiver. Anyway I think this web site is great and
I will forward it to everyone I know.
Star Choice does have an
alternative to different receivers for each television. However,
it may not be that practical, but here it is anyways. If
you don't have a problem with every TV in the house being
on the same channel, they offer a UHF remote. All you
need is one receiver and the UHF remote comes with a little
antenna which plugs in to it. The signal from that
receiver is run through your cable to all your TV sets
and with the UHF remote you can change channels from anywhere
in the house, no matter where you are in comparison to the
receiver. The only thing is, ALL of your television
sets are receiving the same signal from the one receiver so
all the TV's are on the same channel.
